Farmers & Merchants State Bank sees students as our next generation of leaders and the future of our communities. Each year, we offer scholarships to help local graduating seniors in pursuing their academic journeys. Applications are now open for the 2026 scholarships. The available scholarships are:
- ONE, $1,500 F&M Presidents’ Scholarship – Pierz School District. This scholarship honors the work of our past bank presidents and is for a local student who has shown commitment to community service through leadership of school or extracurricular groups, civic service organizations or volunteer groups. Traditional and home-schooled seniors in the Pierz school district are eligible to apply.
- SIX, $1,200 F&M General Scholarships. These scholarships are for local students who are working towards careers that have a high likelihood of enhancing rural communities and life. They are available to seniors in the Pierz, Eden Valley-Watkins and Sauk Rapids-Rice school districts (up to 2 awarded per school district).
Homeschooled students strongly encouraged to apply. No GPA requirement. The deadline for applying is March 1st.
